Rebuilding connection with yourself and others
Holding it together is exhausting.
You might be investing a lot of energy into:
Overthinking
Self-criticism / self-doubt
Unhealthy coping habits
Worrying about the future and replaying the past
Feeling disconnected from yourself or others
Feeling anxious, angry, resentful, stressed or confused
Instead of talking about what is really going on, you’ve learned to bottle things up, push through, stay busy, or pretend everything is fine while internally feeling lonely, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or emotionally exhausted.
Many people develop ways of coping that keep them functioning and afloat, but over time these patterns can begin to feel like an unfulfilling loop. You may look capable on the outside while privately feeling stuck, reactive, disconnected, or unsure how to change things.
Our relationships shape us more than we realise.
When we feel disconnected from partners, friends, family, or even from ourselves, it can leak into every part of life.
Using evidence-based approaches, we will help you develop a healthier relationship with your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self so you can respond to life with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-understanding.
Rather than being driven by self-doubt, disconnection, or avoidance, you can learn to move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you want to be.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is flexible, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and while integrating strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, and the Dialectical Behaviour Therapies (DBT/RO-DBT) where helpful.
Sessions include skill-building (e.g., emotion regulation, communication skills, self-compassion, and values clarification) that is complimented by a deeper exploration of how past experiences may be shaping current patterns. My aim is to provide a respectful, supportive space where you can better understand yourself and develop new habits to create a more meaningful life.
